WTA Partners makes it ten with Civica

November 29, 2022

London, 29th November 2022: WTA Partners is delighted to announce that we have now completed a total of ten buy-side transactions for our longstanding client, Civica UK. A rare achievement in the highly competitive technology M&A marketplace.

Civica Group is a renowned and well-respected software provider, supporting thousands of customers in markets across the globe. Their areas of focus include central Government, local authorities, health & social care, education, housing as well as integrated solutions to meet current and future challenges.

Over the course of the last four years WTA has worked closely with the Civica executive teams identifying and helping to bring these ten companies into the Civica family. Transactions have spanned the full breadth of Civica’s core markets including building out their capabilities in human capital management systems.

WTA is similarly proud to have played an integral role in helping to establish Civica Canada with a healthcare business that was acquired earlier this year, and which is part of their strategic approach to developing a North American presence. This has also been a parallel move for WTA, as part of our ‘building a WTA Bridge’ with the North American market and the formation of a permanent presence to capitalise on deal opportunities from both sides of the Atlantic.

As a specialist M&A practice, one of WTA’s key attributes is our expert knowledge and experience within the enterprise software and SaaS solutions space, covering multiple market sectors. This expertise has been utilised by the Civica team to help originate very specific dialogues with the high-quality and innovative companies WTA approached on their behalf.

Wayne Story, Civica Group CEO noted:

“It’s been a great pleasure working with the WTA team and you are a part of the Civica success story.”

Robert Stroud, Civica Group M&A Director added:

“WTA have worked alongside us to really understand our strategy and requirements and have become a successful part of our M&A process. They are ambassadors of the Civica brand and have cohesively represented our business in the core markets in which we operate.”

Alan Butterworth, WTA’s Partner commented:

“I am extremely proud of what we have achieved in our relationship with Civica. We’ve worked hard alongside their M&A and executive leadership teams to create a productive and successful partnership. By engaging across the market and leveraging our experience and industry proficiency, we’ve been able to seek strategic software assets that can play a part in Civica’s growth going forward.”
